Marijuana State Laws

Marijuana, also known as Cannabis, Weed, Pot, and Ganja; is an illegal drug in most states and can warrant a criminal charge ranging from a citation to a felony depending on the state that person has possession of the drug in. Most states have laws against the possession, cultivation, or transfer of marijuana for medical and/or recreational use, however there are a few states in the union that have legalized cannabis for medical use.

Listed below are articles explaining the marijuana laws and penalties for being in possession, using, growing, selling, trafficking, and even driving under the influence of the drug in each state. If you have been charged with any of the criminal acts, it is advisable to contact a criminal defense lawyer as soon as possible to ensure that you have a fair trial in court.
