I lied under oath to defend my brother, can I be charged for perjury?
My brother is under trial for a burglary charge. I don't know exactly if it is true or not but I certainly don't want him to get in trouble. Under oath, I lied and said he was with me the day that it happend in an effort to defend his case. However, the facts of the case are getting worst and I'm scared they'll discover I lied under oath and charge me for perjury, what should I do?

Although lying under oath is considered a very serious Federal crime in the United States, a great majority of perjury charges never get prosecuted. It is all relative to the magnitude of the case, and the extent of the lie. If it was a clear bogus lie that caused the case several unnecessary investigation efforts and complications, you may be prosecuted.
However, considering a case like this, I doubt you will get charged and or prosecuted. A lot of evidence and effort is required to actually commit you of perjury as well. If you are concerned, consult with a Criminal Defense Attorney to be aware of your legal rights.
