A terrorist threat will strike terror in the hearts of many. These threats are based on terrorism, and are very much criminal acts. It is the threat of causing violence, usually verbal, and is uttered with the plan of badly scaring those who hear it; scaring them enough to terrorize them. A terrorist threat, sometimes relayed by telephone, will cause entire buildings to evacuate in an orderly panic. Terrorist threats can also cause mass confusion as well as inconvenience in any public place. Threats such as these can bring forth property damage. People are usually injured during the aftermath of a threat by terrorists. Other offenses that go along with the crime of terrorist threat include reckless endangerment of human life, criminal mischief, harassment, stalking another person, and more. If any public utility such as water, gas, electricity, or any form of public transportation or communication is disabled because of a terrorist threat, it is a criminal offense. If the actions of federal or state government are influenced because of the threat, or if any public meeting place, place of employment, or mode of transportation are blocked from use by a terrorist threat, this is also a criminal offense.
