The signs of child abuse are not all that difficult to see. Although a single sign may not mean that any sort of abuse is taking place, seeing this sign repeatedly, perhaps along with others, is enough to warrant concern. Signs of child abuse can include, but are not limited to the following. A child who seems to lack parental supervision, who lacks proper hygiene or proper medical care, seems to be overly frightened or overly aggressive, or who shows behavior that is anti-social could well be experiencing child abuse at home. If a child has frequent bruises or cuts, apathy or depression, seems timid around adults, or cries when it is time to leave school or daycare could possibly be experiencing a less than happy home life. If you do suspect that a child or children are being harmed in any way, filing a report with the local authorities may well save a child’s life.
