When one person is luring another, they are generally thought to be enticing someone to do something illegal or immoral. Seduction is a form of luring that is used quite successfully by many people of both sexes. Seductive luring can render others unable to resist the sexual temptation of it all. Luring can also be used as a means of enticing and trapping criminals that might otherwise prove difficult to capture. Consider the agency that called a bail jumper and told him he had won a television, and gave directions on where to pick it up. When the bail jumper arrived at the address, he was captured by a bail bondsman. Luring is also a way to stimulate a person into doing certain activities that they might never have thought about doing before. It can be a powerful inducement for many, much to their detriment.
