Injunction

An injunction is generally used by a court of law, and issued as an order. The injunction asks that you as an individual, a corporation of people, or a group entity of the government to stop doing a certain thing, and to refrain from ever doing it again in the future. Sometimes an injunction is called a cease and desist letter. History tells us that an injunction usually is not used unless "the remedy at law is inadequate". If a person or persons continue to do something to you that violates your rights, and they will not stop, then the courts will issue an injunction telling them to stop this behavior, both now and in the future. They cannot repeat the behavior while the injunction is pending, nor until the injunction case has been heard and settled.
