In Wyoming there are no overarching criminal statutes of limitations.  According to the court in Story v. State, 721 P.2d 1020, 1027 (Wyo. 1986), "Wyoming is one of the two states which has no statute of limitations for any criminal case."  This means that offenders may be prosecuted no matter how much time has lapsed since the criminal offense occurred.
